Our Programs

S.T.E.A.M.S Academy

Our S.T.E.A.M.S Academy encourages collaboration to understand a S.T.E.M concept. By integrating concepts and practices of the arts, our students use tools such as data visualization or fine art imagery to deepen one’s understanding of science, math and technology.

La Familia

The Peoria Friendship House has a special program called the La Familia Program that strives to restore dignity and protect our local Latino community by providing culturally responsive and healing support across the lifespan, from children to seniors.

Peoria Peacekeepers

Peoria PeaceKeepers is a referral source program. This program will serve to allow youth an opportunity to make restitution, connect with the community, and receive needed services and support.

Pantry on the Move

The Peoria Friendship House is ready to make it easy for our community to receive free groceries.

Pantry on the move helps reduce transportation barriers for those without easy access to stationary food pantries, and/or who are located in underserved geographic areas.

Health Support Services

Health Support Services is designed to provide individuals with monthly health-related check-ups. Health insurance and co-pays can be expensive. To alleviate the stress if medical treatment, the Peoria Friendship House and OSF Car-A-Van have partnered to provide medical care at the beginning of each month to provide check-ups, maintenance procedures, and prescriptions.

Pathway to YOUR Future

Pathway to YOUR Future is designed specifically to prepare, teach, and support high school students' transition into adulthood. The goal is to be able to provide high school students with different course certification opportunities to increase post-grad jobs right out of high school.

Parent Mentor Program

The parent mentor program is designed for Latina and Black mothers to help fill persistent equity gaps by volunteering in classrooms for 2 hours/day. The Parent  Mentors are supported by weekly training on class-room instructional practices and leadership training.
